Ivory Tower Ltd.

With over half a decade of formal education between us, it's only fair that we give something back to young people, who now find themselves faced with that same situation that we encountered only a few years ago. Each of us can remember that daunting feeling of not knowing where life will take us, and if we're honest, we're still not all that sure.

With it's first issue launched in January 2011, What? serves young people across the UK aged between 14-19. Still students ourselves (or only just!), juggling producing a monthly publication with a degree has been challenging to say the least, but we managed to secure interviews with a wide range of people, starting with Sir Richard Branson, who fronted our very first issue.

In October 2011 the business moved into a newly refurbished 1700 m2 unit at Heritage Mills.

Think Drink

Think Drink all started in 2007 with the idea that there had to be more to healthy drinks than smoothies and mineral water.

Smoothies were great, tasty and healthy, but not really that refreshing. Mineral water on the other hand was very refreshing, but just not that interesting. We believed there should be more choice. Something that not only quenched thirst but that also tasted great. And if we were really honest, that wasn't all - what we really wanted was a drink that would give us a pick-me-up without the calories and additives in traditional energy drinks.

The slab is best used in high footfall locations such as busy streets, train stations, sports stadia and shopping centres. The slabs can be branded and create advertising revenues powered from the peoples footsteps.

ZZap

At the age of 19, whilst in our first year of university, we found a market, which presented a unique opportunity to start a business. Surprisingly, it was in a well-established market; in the retail of cash handling equipment. Competition online was restricted to a few minor retailers charging high prices. The market as a whole promoted its products in a bland and uninteresting way, with a lack of any brands or well-built websites.

So in-between lectures and studying we created a unique cash handling brand that had a completely different promotional approach to the rest of the market. Investing all our savings we ordered our first batch of banknote counters. Since then demand has consistently outstripped supply. We are now the leading cash-handling retailer on eBay and Amazon, with 5 different products and we aim to win contracts to become equipment suppliers for larger institutions and franchises.

We are currently very small but have a team of designers and developers who collaborate with Little Riot as well as working on their own projects. Eulysis

Eulysis UK Limited is an innovative device development company focused on improving the storage and delivery of pharmaceutical products. The company's pioneer product innovation, Single Vial System, involves a unique manufacturing process which allows the integration of a lyophilized active ingredient(s) and its diluent for reconstitution to exist within the same container. Until now, pharmaceutical products such as vaccines, antibiotics, antidotes that comprised a lyophilized phase and a diluent for reconstitution were manufactured, stored and delivered in two containers. This leads to a number of inefficiencies and potential risks including contamination risks, excessive raw material usage in production, and inefficient usage of transportation and storage means as two vials had to be transported and stored for each final product as opposed to one.

Fraser Doherty started SuperJam at the age of just fourteen, after being taught how to make jam by his Grandmother in Glasgow. After selling homemade jam at farmers' markets for several years, he developed a process for making jam 100% from fruit; it's all natural, all fruit and contains no added sugar.

SuperJam has gone on to reinvent the jam category, stocked in over 2,000 supermarket stores around the world. The brand has been entered into the National Museum of Scotland as an 'Iconic Scottish Brand', been featured on GMTV, This Morning and BBC Breakfast; selling millions of jars along the way.

As well as building a commercially successful business, Fraser has set up a registered charity; The SuperJam Tea Parties, running hundreds of free tea parties for the elderly. He has also written two best-selling books; The SuperJam Cookbook and SuperBusiness.

Festival Loo

Festival Loo Ltd began, last year, in 2011. Over the last few years, the directors, Geordie, Will and Squeak, had met whilst they were working behind the scenes at various events and festivals. It was from these meetings that a friendship was formed that led them to realise the potential in environmental sanitation to reduce the immediate impact the event was having on the environment.

So, with their huge enthusiasm and belief in the compost loo, and their extensive experience with the management of events and festivals, in particular, festival sanitation, they began Festival Loo. Suffice to say that they have been overwhelmed by Festival Loo's success already - Festival Loo keeps going from strength to strength and has formed some key relationships with some of the UK's best and world renowned festivals and events.

Quite simply, Geordie, Will and Squeak want to provide the very best in environmentally friendly compost loos, urinals and sanitation management at any event or festival.

Interactive Places

We bring places to life in unique and unexpected ways - creating phone apps and sound/light installations for specific locations. These can be heritage sites, museums and galleries, but also cities or the countryside. These experiences might be subtle and simple or comprehensive and wide-ranging.

Our installations involve moving lights, projections and hidden sound sources, along with bespoke props. Our apps use a mix of video, audio and still images, making the most of a phone's inbuilt capabilities to create interactive experiences for all ages. From tours, stories and puzzles, to games and treasure hunts, we inform, entertain and educate visitors in inspiring ways.

We can also install a range of sensors and devices to create magical, interactive environments, with or without the need for smartphones.
